This study assessed the cost-effectiveness of RSVpreF vaccination against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in Spanish adults aged ≥75 years from the perspective of the National Health System, using a lifetime Markov model.
Vaccination was associated with substantial reductions in RSV-related hospitalisations, outpatient cases and deaths, while improving survival and health-related quality of life.
Findings remained robust across all sensitivity and scenario analyses, supporting RSVpreF vaccination as a cost-effective public health intervention.
