This study examined the use and barriers of Patient Reported Outcomes Measures (PROMs) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients in Spain.
Although most rheumatologists recognise the importance of PROMs for shared decision-making, only a few incorporate them in routine care, primarily using pain, fatigue, and physical function measures.
The main barriers include limited consultation time and the lack of integrated PROMs platforms in electronic medical records.
