Chronic nodular prurigo (CNPG) is an inflammatory skin disease characterised by intense, persistent pruritus associated with nodular lesions resulting from chronic scratching. This condition has a substantial impact on patients’ health-related quality of life, affecting physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. Despite its clinical relevance, CNPG remains underrecognized and underrepresented in the scientific literature.
This review synthesises the available evidence on the impact of CNPG on quality of life, the symptoms with the greatest influence, and the unmet medical needs of affected patients.
