Value contribution of trifluridine/tipiracil with bevacizumab for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer in Catalonia using a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis

Value assessment in metastatic colorectal cancer is becoming increasingly complex due to multiple treatment options and competing decision criteria.

This study applies a multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) framework to capture value beyond traditional endpoints, integrating clinical, economic and patient-reported outcomes. Findings indicate that trifluridine/tipiracil plus bevacizumab delivers a positive overall value contribution compared to available alternatives, with efficacy and safety—particularly overall survival—playing a decisive role in the evaluation.

This approach highlights the need for multidimensional value frameworks to better align treatment positioning with real-world value delivered to healthcare systems.
